Let’s get something straight right off the bat. I have never been big on Valentine’s Day.
It always seemed like a waste of time and money for a bunch of people to put on a façade so that the rest of the world would see just how in love they were with their mate. Honestly, I’d rather have someone show me how much they love me 364 days a year and have Feb. 14th as a chance to not to much as speak to me. I know, I know…”bahumbug”.
This year, however, I am with someone who truly enjoys going all out for the occasion. This is the first time in over a year and a half that I have decided to forgo dating and commit to a relationship. That being said, I’m feeling the effects of the love bug and am getting quite excited about whatever it is that he has planned (Shhh! Don’t tell anyone; I have a reputation to protect, here!).
While I always do something special for my son’s class, this new state-of-mind I’ve found myself experiencing has me thinking of doing something a little more exciting than the run-of-the-mill box o’ Valentine Cards you find in the supermarket. Celia introduced me to Tinyprints, and upon browsing their kids’ section, I’ve stumbled upon this adorable card, which I plan on customizing with his name and picture. What do you guys think?
